Well, the course is coming to an end now… So, it is time to look back.
It has been a nice experience to participate in this module, although I wish I had had more time to delve deeper into the topic. Nevertheless, I could improve my knowledge of how to implement digital tools in my teaching and therefore develope my own digital competence further. It was really usefult to think about assessment and giving feedback, since this is an important issue to keep the motivation high and give learners the opportunity to develope further. Especially for collaborative work the typical assessment strategies are not very sufficient. Of course, I know rubrics and have used them before, but I have never designed one myself. Thanks to the tools, I am sure in future I will do this again.
Like in the beginning of this module, I am still not interested to change my courses to distant learning, but more and more I make use of the blended learning concept as well as I integrate digital sequences in my lessons according to the knowledge of my students. This is not only fun, but also gets my students more and more involved, so that they can also develope their digital competence. For I work in vocational training my students need this skills since the world of work is also changing and becoming more and more digital.
Another nice effect is the use of the e-portfolio. Since it is a central part in this course, I spend more effect to create and update it. Actually, I am quite satisfied with the result. Maybe I will also use it for all my courses concerning digital competence. So it will be a nice collection.
