End of Module 1 – Evaluation
The first module is almost done, so it is time to look back.
I have come across some interesting approaches like the UDL or the five-stage-model to motivation by Gilly Salmon which left a deep impression. It also made me order some literature, so that I will definitely keep on tracking these ideas. I could also improve my digital competence, since I had the chance to try different methods and tools as well as reflect my own work and the work of others.
I really liked to cooperative approach of the course, unfortunately I was in a group with some inactive members, so the cooperation was limited. Nevertheless, I enjoyed working with my group partner a lot.
I feel confident that I can implement lots of ideas in my professional work, since I get the chance to re-arrange and develop the section for preparation courses in our learning management system ILIAS with the help of my colleagues. The theoretical approaches will be a good guide for this project.
I very strongly feel the impact of this course’s learning outcome for I am very motivated and trying different tools which raises the attention of my colleagues and also makes them curious. Also my students get more and more excited using the online tools.
Still I have some questions and look forward to the next modules. As the analysis and my digital competence wheel shows, my knowledge has improved in every aspect … but there still is a way to go … :-).
